The Katanning Miniature Railway was started by Len Toms about twenty years ago after he built 'NUFF PUFF'. Len approached the Katanning Shire for land to build a 71/4 inch gauge track. it was decided to lay the track at the All Ages Playground.
In 1990 the Kendenup Railway Station was bought by the Shire and placed next to the track and a small shed for rolling stock was built. Until 1996 Len with his wife Betty and different people helping them, gave rides to children on Sunday afternoons. click on 'read more' to see the rest of this story.
